Journey Trainings

This training is designed for astrologers and astro-enthusiasts with a solid basis in natal chart work. It utilizes the language of astrology to convey its deeper message, which is:

Each sovereign individual is also an instrument of a larger intelligence which they actualize through authentic development of that sovereign self and their individual consciousness.

The Journeys of Soulsign Astrology are the only methodologies able to accurately pinpoint exactly how a person’s individuality is intimately inter-reliant on and with their collectivity, how their personal life path contributes to humanity’s greater evolution. The Journey as a whole and the individual Phases within each Journey are delineated at multiple levels, from their mundane qualities in individuals and groups to their actual evolutionary goals at the Soul level. Thus each planet or body in its synodic position represents unique lines of developmental intent at the collective or world mind level, just like each planet or body on the birth chart provides a window into the native’s personal developmental intent (ie, Mars our masculinity, Venus our femininity).

Mars & Venus Training

The Mars & Venus Journeys describe the repeating yet ever-changing cycles of Mars, Venus, the Sun and our Earth. They symbolize how the core masculine principle (Mars) and feminine principle (Venus) within us are evolving at any point in time. Together, their moving spatial relationships give humanity a direct means of living in true alignment with its own inner union.

Mars and Venus represent the most polarized pair in astrology. They are each everything the other isn’t and as a result create what is known as a same-and-opposite dynamic where creative potential – the standing capacity to create at will from one’s deeper self – is at maximum. This is the motivation to present the Mars & Venus Journeys as the flagship material. Currently, this flagship includes:

• Monthly live podcasts on current Mars and Venus energies

You explore deeply the unique qualities of this Primal Pair – beyond our gender roles – and how they express through you, the world and consciousness itself. Carefully selected practices including breath-based meditation, inner visualization, guided journeying and more are all possible components of any Journey Training.

In this Training you will learn through mulitple means – imaginatively, critically, associatively – about your own femininity and masculinity, not as abstract concepts or memorized names of deities but as they really are: dynamically alive, primoridal forces. You will learn to see them in action through the synodic placement of the native in each of the Journeys. The basic principles common to all synodic cycles then become a basic wireframe for you to explore the cycles of other bodies you are interested in.

Successful completion of the Training enters you into a strong circle of colleagues whose work is informed by synodism, or collective intelligence. Currently in production is Adam’s breakthrough book on the Mars and Venus Journeys, Bridges of Union and an extensive software application for calculation and delineation of the Journeys. Both are due out in late 2010.

Course Information:

• Adam’s style of teaching is thoroughly interactive; students feel included and supported to learn at their own pace
• Plenty of case studies and sample charts
• Lots of handouts with all the delineations you need to incorporate synodic cycles into your work
• Class meets by phone with basic internet (email, class forum, downloads)
• Audio recordings of classes are made available at large discounts to students
• Classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings (ET) and run from August 4 through September 1. There are 9 classes in total (see below for Module descriptions).

2009 Training Modules

For those wishing to incorporate synodic cycles into their astrological work, the complete Training is suggested. Each Module builds on the previous, delivering a full, ground-up understanding of how synodic cycles work and why they are so effective. With all three Modules under your belt, you are empowered to apply synodic logic and intuition to any astrological question.

Module 1: Calculation

How to identify natal planets’ synodic phases and journeys; key events in each cycle and what they mean; how to find the planet in the sky at each phase; casting the Natal Journey Chart.

Module 2: Delineation

Gestalt understandings of each Journey; comprehensive phase delineations; incorporating astronomical ‘events’ to refine phase meanings.

Module 3: Correlation and Integration

Effectively integrating the Natal Story of the birth chart into the Natal Journey of the synodic cycles…and vice versa; comparing natal signatures and natal phases: alignments and cross-patterns.
